Co2olBricks at Fair and Conference “denkmal 2012”

From 22.-24. November 2012 Co2olBricks presented their activities at the trade fair “denkmal2012” in Leipzig (link) where every two years experts from all areas of heritage preservation come together to show their products, to discuss current topics and to do networking.

Co2olBricks joined the stand of the German Association of Heritage Preservators (VdL) because their main topic this year was the energetic refurbishment of historic buildings. Therefore the workgroup “building technique” of the VdL presented under the headline “Tailor-made – Energetic retrofitting of historic buildings” a very interesting exhibition with best practice examples from all Federal States in Germany.

On the traditional reception at the stand with around 100 participants, Albert Schett gave some welcoming words and pointed to the expert conference focussing on “heritage preservation and climate protection” which took place on 24th November and where he gave a detailed presentation of the Co2olBricks activities.

Dr. Daniela Scherz was participating the CONTACT – an international cooperation exchange organised from the enterprise europe network. Hold as a match making event for experts Co2olBricks got the opportunity for making new business contacts to share knowledge and to work together on issues concerning all fields of heritage preservation and refurbishment.

In addition to the German project partners from the Heritage Preservation Department in Hamburg, Co2olBricks project partners from Estonia (Information Center for Sustainable Renovation NGO (SRIK)) and Finland (KIINKO) took the opportunity to come together with international experts and to catch on new developments.
